After twenty years in Milan I choose the sea, finally
I lived twenty years in Milan and I was sure I will stay there forever, the studio, the friends, the aperitivo on Thursday. Then my mother moved to Paphos with her sister in 2023 and every time I visit her I stay some days longer than I planned.
This summer I decided. I will buy a small apartment in Paphos, near to my mother but not in the same building, this is very important for both of us.
I work from home, so I need one room with good light for the desk and a balcony for the evening. For now I have saved six flats from https://tranio.com/cyprus/paphos/ in a folder on my phone and my mother already has an opinion on all of them.
In October I go for ten days to see them. My sister says I am crazy to leave Milan. Maybe, but in Paphos in November you can still eat outside.
Somebody here moved to Cyprus to be near the parents? How long it took to feel at home?
